My Story

Kristina Freeland

  

I’m Kristina Freeland, a Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and Personal Trainer who helps women build lasting habits, strengthen their bodies, and explore nutrition in ways that feel realistic and empowering. My approach combines behavior-change coaching, strength training, and functional nutrition to support women in creating wellness practices that truly fit their lives. I also coach women through Hailey Happens Fitness, where I support clients in building strength, preserving and building muscle, improving nutrition habits, and developing routines that support longevity, mobility, and everyday life.


I’ve always been drawn to movement in every form—being outside, staying active, and learning what it really means to feel healthy, grounded, and well-nourished. Over time, I realized wellness isn’t about perfection or rigid routines. It’s about learning how to support yourself through every season of life with intention, and self-compassion.

My coaching philosophy is simple: we partner together to create a wellness journey designed around you—who you are, your vision for your future, and what motivates you from the inside out.


MY JOURNEY


I’m a native South Floridian who has always loved movement in every form—being outside, staying active, and continually learning what it truly means to feel healthy, grounded, and well-nourished. Like many women, what “wellness” looks like for me has evolved with each decade of life.


In recent years, I felt called to connect my passion with my purpose. I stepped away from my career in PR, marketing, and events to fully pursue my love for wellness and supporting women on their journeys. I completed Health & Wellness Coach training through MindBodyGreen, earned my National Board Certification, and expanded my background with certifications in Personal Training through NASM and Functional Nutrition.


My own experience has been one of my greatest teachers. As my body has changed over time, I’ve had to intentionally explore what it needs now—not just for longevity, but for quality of life, movement, emotional strength, and mental clarity. Building and maintaining muscle takes more intention. Nourishing my body requires deeper attention. Mobility work, mindfulness, digestive health, recovery, and learning to listen to my body have all become meaningful parts of my wellness practice.


And what I’ve discovered along the way is this: so many women are searching for their own version of wellness. We want to feel strong in our bodies, engaged with life, mentally clear, and confident as we move through each new chapter. That shared experience is what inspires me most and fuels the work I do every day.

What is Health and Wellness Coaching?

Health Coaching Defined

Health coaching bridges the gap between knowing what you want for your health and

actually creating the habits that support it. It’s a partnership that helps you move from

feeling “stuck” or overwhelmed to feeling clear, capable, and supported as you build

habits that actually fit your world.


A health coach helps you explore your motivations, values, strengths, and challenges in

a way that feels safe, empowering, and free of judgment. Together with your coach,

you’ll uncover what you want, why it matters, and how to create change that feels

doable and relevant to your life.


A health coach doesn’t tell you what to do, doesn’t diagnose, prescribe supplements or

diets, or interpret labs — but they help you tap into your own wisdom, strengths, and

capacity for change; and walk alongside you as you build a healthier, more

intentional life.


Health coaching isn’t about being a perfect client!  It’s about building a life—and a way of caring for yourself—that feels true to who you are.

What Does a Typical Coaching Session Look Like?

Your Coaching Journey

After your complimentary Discovery Call to make sure we are a good fit, we’ll

create a coaching agreement tailored to your specific needs and connect to

schedule your first 60-minute coaching session to set the foundation for our work

together. 


From there, ongoing sessions are approximately 30 minutes each and

are held virtually via Zoom, making it easy to connect from anywhere.  In

between sessions I will check in with you as your accountability partner.


Your coaching journey is entirely personalized—designed around your goals,

your schedule, and the level of support you’re looking for. Coaching packages

can range from a focused 6-session series to longer-term partnerships that

extend over several months, depending on what feels most supportive for you.
